David J. Metzger

David is an experienced real estate litigator who helps his clients resolve complex property and land-use matters. As a partner at Williams Teusink, LLC, he specializes in litigating sophisticated title issues, easements, quiet title actions, contract matters, and conflicts between neighboring property owners.

Additionally, David represents clients in engaging with state and local governments to resolve regulatory issues impacting their ability to use or develop their properties. He regularly represents a wide variety of companies in resolving real estate-related issues and disputes arising from their business and investment operations in Georgia.  

As an accomplished litigator in local, state, and federal courts, David specializes in working creatively to resolve challenging matters and achieve practical solutions for his clients. 

David has guest lectured on real estate law at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, and he has authored numerous articles and been featured and quoted in a wide range of news media on a variety of real estate issues.  

He has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” for his real estate practice by Super Lawyers since 2023, and prior to that was selected as a “Rising Star” from 2017 to 2021.    

David is a member of the Real Estate section of the State Bar of Georgia, and he is a member of the DeKalb Bar Association, the Decatur Business Association, and the Lawyer’s Club of Atlanta. He is the current president of the St. Thomas More Society of Atlanta and is a member of the 2016 class of Leadership DeKalb. 

David received his law degree with honors from Georgia State University College of Law.  David obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor’s degree with honors in business management.
