Top-Ranked Georgia Lawmaker and Community Leader Expands Legal Practice at Williams Teusink

DECATUR (June 19, 2025)Williams Teusink is pleased to announce the addition of Omari Crawford as the firm’s newest associate. A dedicated public servant and accomplished attorney, Omari brings a deep commitment to advocacy, leadership, and community service.

Omari currently serves as the State Representative for Georgia’s 89th House District, where he was recently named one of Georgia’s Top 10 Most Effective Lawmakers by the Center for Effective Lawmaking. His recognition reflects his ability to navigate complex policy issues and deliver meaningful legislative outcomes.

At Williams Teusink, Omari will focus his practice on litigation and quasi-judicial advocacy, leveraging his legislative experience and deep understanding of public policy to help clients navigate the intersection of law and government.

Recognized for his potential, he has participated in several competitive leadership programs, including the 2024-2025 Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s LEAD Program, the 2022 New Leaders Council Fellowship, and Leadership DeKalb Class of 2021.

Beyond his legal and legislative work, Omari is a tireless advocate for community engagement. He serves on the boards of the East Lake Family YMCA and the MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc., and holds active membership in a range of civic and professional organizations. These include 100 Black Men of DeKalb County, Inc., the DeKalb Lawyers Association, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Georgia. 

He earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from North Carolina Central University and his Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from Florida A&M University (FAMU). While at FAMU, he was a student-athlete on the track and field team and was named to the All-Academic Conference Team for three consecutive years. He was recently honored by FAMU as part of the 2024 “40 Under 40” class for his achievements and service.

A former Georgia High School Association Track and Field Champion, Omari continues to give back by mentoring student-athletes in DeKalb County and speaking at local academic events.
