Joseph Brickman

Joseph focuses his practice on land use and zoning, as well as real estate, business, and construction-related litigation. He represents individual property owners, neighborhoods, homeowner and condominium associations, builders and developers, agents, brokers, and other real estate professionals in all facets of the land use and zoning process, including appellate work. Outside of his land use and zoning practice, Joseph is a litigator, advising and advocating for his clients from the initial stages of a budding dispute through appeal.

Joseph has been recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Land Use and Zoning, and is also a member of Leadership DeKalb’s 2024 class. He is actively involved in the Atlanta Jewish community and currently serves on the board of the Jewish Bar Association of Georgia.

Joseph received his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as an associate editor of the Law Review. He graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish from the University of Alabama.

When he isn’t in court or presenting before planning and development boards, Joseph spends his free time hiking, cooking, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Crimson Tide. As an aspiring chef, Joseph is also a loyal patron of both the Buford Highway and DeKalb Farmers’ Markets.
